Seasonal (SEAS) position

Barnstable Recreation is seeking a knowledgeable, qualified, and certified Yoga Instructor to lead Adult Community and Chair-Supported Yoga classes. The individual must have expertise in simple Hatha Yoga and commit to at least 2 hours per week. Classes are held at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center, with yoga mats provided.

Qualifications:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Successful completion of a CORI and SORI background check
- Experience as a Yoga Instructor

Responsibilities:
- Lead Adult Community and Chair-Supported Yoga classes
- Instruct participants in simple Hatha Yoga techniques
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all class attendees
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive class environment
- Collaborate with Barnstable Recreation staff on class scheduling and logistics

Preferred Skills:
- Additional certifications in specialized yoga techniques
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet varying participant needs
- Passion for promoting health and wellness through yoga practice
