Seasonal (SEAS) position

Barnstable Recreation is looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, great leadership qualities and people skills to assist the Leisure Program Director in the running of our seven week Summer Leisure Program which runs from July 1st to August 16th , 2024. Staff hours are M-F, 7:30 AM-4:45 PM. Must be available for Parent Orientation on June 15th and Staff Orientation on June 25-28th, 2024.

Job Description: Assists the Director in routine and complex administrative work in planning, organizing and coordinating a Summer Leisure Program for children 6-13 years old. Personally responsible or the care of 8-10 participants. Assists in the supervision of staff.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be attending college or a college graduate; Considerable knowledge of summer programming and at least 2 years of summer program experience or camp experience; First Aid/ CPR certified and a valid driver's license. Must pass a CORI and SORI.

Additional Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively, maintain good working relationships with everyone and have enthusiasm, a sense of humor, patience and flexibility. Creativity a plus!!

$17.00 hourly, no benefits.
