Seasonal (SEAS) Position
Job Summary:
The Assistant Leisure Program Director will assist the LP Director in planning, organizing, and coordinating a Summer Day Program for children aged 5-13. This role involves administrative tasks, supervising up to 10 children, and supporting the overall operation of the program under the general supervision of the Leisure Program Director and Program Coordinators.
Qualifications:
- Must be attending college or be a college graduate.
- Should possess at least 3 years of experience in a summer day program or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of summer program planning.
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and direct various activities within a summer program.
- Proficiency in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, vendors, participants, and the public.
- Effective communication skills with participants, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate good character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and organizing the Summer Day Program.
- Supervise and engage with up to 60 children.
- Support the implementation of varied activities in the program.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Uphold program standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a successful program experience for all participants.
