Seasonal (SEAS) Position
Definition
An individual who is responsible for the safety and well-being of participants in a recreational activity. The Recreation Assistant will instruct activities in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the Recreation Division.
Recreation Assistants will lead soccer drills, help participants improve their skills, manage a team during the season, and referee games. Session plans will be provided and supervised by the Program Coordinator.
Programs
Our Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Grade, and 2nd and 3rd Grade programs are at McBarron Field on Saturdays, 12:30 - 3:30 PM, May 3 - June 14, 2025.
Our 4th and 5th Grade program is at Barnstable United Elementary School on Wednesdays, 2:45 - 4:30 PM, April 30 - June 11, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience supervising activities.
Experience working with kids.
Intermediate knowledge of soccer.
Ability to be a positive role model for the youth.
