Seasonal (SEAS) Position

An individual who is responsible for the safety and well-being of participants in a recreational activity. The Recreation Assistant will instruct activities in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the Recreation Division.

Youth Fire Academy Recreation Assistants will:

• Work alongside Youth Fire Academy counselors to create a meaningful experience for participants.
• Assist with the supervision of program activities.
• Manage participants' well-being during the day. Includes making sure participants stay hydrated, apply sunscreen, and more.
• Engage participants during activities, in between activities, and during meal times.
• Handle any disciplinary actions and communicate these with the Program Coordinator.

Youth Fire Academy Recreation Assistants may:

• At times act as a one-on-one supervisor of a participant who requires additional attention.

Program Dates

Monday, July 14 - Friday, July 18, 2025, 8:00am - 4:00pm at the Hyannis Fire Department Station

Minimum Qualifications

Experience supervising activities.

Experience working with kids.
